Julia Baldwin volunteered for the Oak Grove school district for over twenty years in the 1950's, 60's, and 70's. She donated her time while honoring her heart by volunteering where she was most needed and was characterized as a selfless advocate for education, community, and children. Never one to speak poorly of anyone, friends remember her as calm, authoritative, and all about avoiding conflict by finding grounds for compromise.
"Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire."
~William Butler Yeats
